If you’re planning a trip to Lincoln, you don’t need to leave your dog at home. Recently named as one of the most dog-friendly cities in the UK, Lincoln is full of places to explore with your four-legged friends in tow.
You will find an abundance of dog-friendly accommodation in Lincoln, and your pooch will also be welcome at plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants across the city. At most of these places, your dog will even get a free treat – and a cuddle!
Many of Lincoln’s attractions are also open to pups. Lincoln Cathedral allows dogs inside all year-round, whilst Lincoln Castle hosts special dog-friendly weekends throughout the year. At the IBCC, dogs are allowed both inside the visitor centre and outside in the gardens. If your dog loves to feel the wind in their ears, you can even take them onboard the Brayford Belle.
If you’ve got an energetic pooch, you will find a number of dog-friendly parks in Lincoln. Liquorice Park, Lincoln Arboretum and Temple Gardens are all just a short walk from the city centre and allow dogs on leads. If you need a bit more space, Boultham Park, Hartsholme Park and Whisby Nature Park are pawfect for long strolls.
